ABM Mastery Program - Level 2: Special Needs Children
Anat Baniel Method for ChildrenSM Practitioners have been providing breakthrough outcomes for children with developmental disorders – CP, child autism, sensory integration disorders, scoliosis, genetic disorders, brain injury, brachial plexus injury, ADD and learning disabilities. Early intervention with the ABM has proven to be effective to the point that outcomes often seem miraculous.
Anat has been working with children with special needs close to 30 years. She has been called a miracle worker for the incredible outcomes children accomplish when working with her. Anat knows it is not a miracle but a scientifically based methodology that anyone who that wants to, can learn.
“I am so enthusiastic about using all I’ve learned with the children I work with, my own children, and also help bridge the gap with some of the other therapists I work with”
~ Alice Lewsey, Pediatric OT, ABM and ABM for Children Practitioner
In March of 2003, Anat launched her first full fledged Professional Mastery Program for Working with Children with Special Needs. The program consists of:
- Four segments, 9 days each, for a total of 36 days.
- A focus on one age group in each of the segments, starting with the youngest.
- A comprehensive developmental curriculum
- Numerous Transformational Movement Lessons
- Hands on FS teaching and practice
- Advanced theory
- A practicum, in each segment, where the trainee gives one lesson to a child under supervision by one of the teachers.
“Working with a child during the practicum was an incredible experience and gave me more confidence in working with other children. I’m so greateful to have had that challenge and to have overcome it with such great pleasure”
~ Matthew Jarman, Business Owner, father of child with special needs, ABM and ABM for Children Practitioner.
Students in the Children Mastery Program have found their experience to be invaluable.
You will learn to work with young infants, babies, toddlers all the way to teenagers with cerebral palsy, genetic disorders, brachial plexus injury, autism, stroke, behavioral issues, learning disabilities, ADD and undiagnosed conditions. You will acquire skills to effect immediate and positive changes with children with developmental disorders and with healthy children.
“My concern that I would not be able to connect or relate to a child is transformed to “I know I can”
~ Rebecca Roman, Yoga teacher, ABM and ABM for Children Practitioner
You will immerse yourself, once again, in an experiential process. You will learn advanced and more complex movement lessons, advanced theory, advanced and more refined hands on practice. Moving towards greater mastery, you will learn enhanced leadership and communication skills to be able to support the parents and build an effective program for their child.
“I feel more empowered because I have ways of working with children that make more sense and move the kids along faster.”
~ Barbie Roberts, Pediatric PT, ABM and ABM for Children Practitioner
As with the 90-day basic ABM Professional Training, you will continue to experience powerful personal transformation and growth. The knowledge and skills you will acquire in this Mastery training will also significantly enhance your knowledge, skills and outcomes when working with adults.
The ABM for Children Mastery Program is offered to graduates of the ABM 90-day basic Professional Training Program and to Feldenkrais practitioners.
